Iran, Pakistan Rail Connections is Necessary

MRUD News—Mohammad Eslami, Iran's minister of Roads and Urban Development, in a meeting with Railway Minister of Pakistan, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, called for strengthening of rail connections between Iran and Pakistan and told "tenders on the part of Pakistan has helped a lot to plan rail connections and commercial transactions".
In the meeting the two friend and neighboring countries mentioned their long-lasting and unbreakable ties as well as cultural and religious commonalities which can facilitate development of bilateral ties more than the past.
Eslami added that "easing development of transit for export goods is of high importance for Pakistan and we are trying to attend to this issue".
He also added that Iran is ready to provide passenger trains for Pakistani pilgrims to Mashahd and Karbala and up to Kermanshah.
